PROBLEMS WITH THE INDUSTRY

Through our experience working in Emergency Departments, the clear majority of work place injuries do not require costly and recordable emergency room visits. The current industry model often utilizes EMT/paramedics or nurses to administer care.  These caregivers neither have the proper training nor medical authority to treat even the most uncomplicated work place injuries. They are not licensed to write prescriptions or do basic medical procedures such as, laceration repairs, applying proper steri-strips, liquid glue, tetanus or splinting. They often function as a triage service referring patients to consults or Emergency Departments visits which they may not need. These practices are not only inefficient, but also costly for the company.
